Cornovii Silver combines quality silver and natural materials with creative designs to develop unique jewellery to suit any lifestyle. All pieces are handcrafted in Jo's studio, consequently no two pieces are exactly the same, ensuring that you have a truly individual design.

Cornovii Silver derives its name from the Celtic Cornovii tribe who are believed to have lived in the western peninsula of Cornwall. Jo spent many happy holidays as a child in Cornwall enjoying rock pooling and collecting shells. She takes inspiration from the sea and landscape of the rugged Cornish coast to develop her collections.

Each piece is lovingly handcrafted just for you in Cornwall .

Meet Jo

Jo started making jewellery on a one day ring workshop and was instantly hooked on creating stunning pieces from silver. She went on to study at college around her day job as a primary SEN teacher. Here she was nominated for the 'Student of the Year' award with Abingdon and Witney College. It was during this time that Jo decided to change career and follow her love of jewellery design and making. She undertook further training with the London Jewellery School based in Hatton Garden and set up Cornovii Silver.

As well as a love of silver, Jo adores working with interesting rocks and gemstones and is intrigued by the healing properties and meanings of differing gemstones. Whilst going through a change of career and lifestyle, Jo found herself drawn to labradorite which not only has the colours of the Cornish coast and winter seas but is also purported to give strength through times of change.

The future is exciting for both Cornovii Silver and Jo. Since her move to Cornwall, she is planning to utilise her teaching skills to set up a jewellery school/retreat.
